Dr. med. dent.
Margita A. Beck

Paediatric dentist

How do you offer children and adolescents the best possible dental treatment in a child-friendly, relaxed atmosphere and always maintain a trusting dialogue with the parents?
This is a question that Dr Margita Beck deals with repeatedly every day. And anyone who has ever seen her at work – skilful and confident in consultations, with a cheerful sparkle in her eye as she jokes with the children, fully focused and assured at the dentist’s chair – will know that she has already found the answer.
Since she started working as a dental assistant in 1984, Dr Beck has been enthusiastic about dentistry. Because she particularly loves working with children, she specialised in modern therapy and developmental psychological aspects of treating children and adolescents immediately after studying dentistry and completing her doctorate in 2004. She has been a certified dentist for paediatric and adolescent dentistry since 2005.
In order to keep up to date on the latest medical research, Dr Beck takes regular training courses and attends congresses of recognised professional societies. This pays dividends particularly in her special field – the treatment of tongue, lip and cheek bands that are too short.
These often go unnoticed but lead to major restrictions during a patient’s life. Babies suffer from problems with breastfeeding, restlessness and reflux, young children from restricted jaw and speech development, adults from snoring and not least … difficulties when kissing.
It is all the more gratifying that Dr Beck can complete the separation of bands that are too short in just a few seconds. As one of the few dentists in all of Germany, she solves these problems by using an ultra-modern CO2 laser. For the benefit of her patients both young and old, who appreciate it for a lifetime.

I love getting to know the children and adolescents with their different personalities. That is why I deal with their questions in detail and create a relaxed atmosphere, in order to dispel any fears or worries they might have.
I also believe it is very important to work together with the parents to look for individual solutions for effective treatment. When everyone leaves the practice with a smile at the end of the treatment, that’s the best reward for me.
